Stay home, Play PlayStation

Play at Home was first introduced last year to encourage people to stay home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The scheme gives players free games to keep, and that is without the need for a PlayStation Plus subscription. Yup, they really are free. That being said, you will need a free PlayStation Network account to take advantage of the offer. Over the past year, gamers have been able to pick up a plethora of games including big-name titles such as Uncharted, The Nathan Drake Collection and more recently Ratchet and Clank for PlayStation 4. That last title is still available at the time of publication, although it won’t be from March 31st so if you want it, act fast. To claim your free games, just head on over to the PlayStation Network store and get them!

You may be wondering what any of this is doing on a website dedicated to indie games. Well, dear reader, the latest Sony offering includes five, yes five, indie titles. Those five titles are:

  • Abzû
  • Enter the Gungeon
  • Rez Infinite
  • Subnautica
  • The Witness
Again, these games are free. There is no downside to getting them, even if you don’t plan to play them now. Unless you live in China. Sadly of the above games only Enter the Gungeon is available in China.

Oh, since you’re all heading over to the PSN store to claim these games, I suppose I should let you know that there are also four VR games available. These are:

  • Astro Bot Rescue Mission
  • Moss
  • Thumper
  • Paper Beast

OK, are done yet Sony? No? You’re also offering Horizon Zero Dawn for free from April 19th. Gotcha. Now we’re done.

Are you planning to pick these games up? Which one are you most looking forward to? Let us know on Twitter @PixelHideout or in the comments section below.
